How to get adjustment recommendations for special colour:

1. Switch off the function ‘Search automatically’ under ‘Reference’.

2. Select a color book with the required special color and select ‘Load reference from Color Book’.

3. Select the measuring mode ColorGuide.

4. Make first a paper white calibration.

5. If after paper white calibration the display indicates that reference values have been measured under other measuring conditions, please adjust the settings of the SpectroDens. These settings can be found under measuring conditions.

6. Measure the solid patch of the special color. Following display is indicated:

The recommendation for adjustment:
Increase of 23 points the density of the special colour

 
 
The actual measurement corresponds to a density of
1.10D and has a reference ΔE of 10.7.

The ideal density of 1,33 D
shows a minimal ΔE of 6.0.

The sample has been compared with the HKS 15 K.

The lowest the deviation between sample and reference is, the most precise the recommendation for the adjustment will be. This is why the minimal value ΔE might slightly change after a density adjustment.
